I'm a bit late with this, but who cares? ^^
What is the name, class, and spec of your primary healer? Cerin, dorfy priest - I can play holy, im just not as good at it and dont enjoy it as much :/
What is your primary group healing environment?
Heroics & Wintergrasp (the actuall PVP battle ;)) mainly, i'll occasionally pug 10 & 25man raids though
What is your favorite healing spell for your class and why? Pennance :D It's so shiney :D it's also a very nifty, big, instant heal. In 25man raids it's more of a 'amagawd the tank's gonna die' spell, a 10k heal is more of an emergenci thing in big raids with droods HoTing everything... or maby i have slow reactions >.<
I'm also slightly obsessed with PW:S >.> It's so awsome, in heroics i just obsessively bubble and there's barely any damage to heal xD and along with Divine Aegis procs, i tend to have very bubbley parties xD I have been told it's annoying though :(
What healing spell do you use least for your class and why? There's a lot of useful raid type spells that i rarely use since i dont raid all that often, the only regular healing spell i rarely use is Greater Heal, i dont even remember if i have a keybind for it :/ It's so huge it's never really needed, i'd just use Pennance instead, for regular healing i use flash heal, it's not match for my mighty Disc mana pool! xD
What do you feel is the biggest strength of your healing class and why? Priests have a lot of strengths, they can be both raid healers and tank healers - and disc priests make very nice raid healers, we can keep the overaggroing melees shielded and alive, and all the dainty clothies :) People underestimate Disc for raid healing, bubbles are good!
What do you feel is the biggest weakness of your healing class and why? I'm gonna instantly contradict myself now xD We can have group healing troubles, our only group heal prayer of healing is good, and it can proc Divine Aegis, but it's got a long cast time, not all that usefull at all in a raid, and in a heroic it can be ok, but it might not be quick enough, for the times you just get a lot of damage you werent expecting - im talking about when things go wrong.
In a 25 man raiding environment, what do you feel, in general, is the best healing assignment for you?
Kinda depends on the rest of the healers. I can be a tank healer, but i think it's more useful for me to help someone else tank heal, shielding and throwing in heals when it's needed, also helping the raid healers, lots of shields, Prayer of Mending, just kinda helping the other healers.
What healing class do you enjoy healing with most and why? Other priests, holy & disc together is nice, i dont have all that much experiance with 25man so i'm not often with a lot of other healers.
What healing class do you enjoy healing with least and why? I guess it's droods, i'm always feeling bad that im eating up their HoTs :(
What is your worst habit as a healer? I can be slow at times >.< I'm working on it, and you'd think i'd be used to it from PVPing o.O But i do sometimes feel i could have saved people that died if only i was quicker :/
What is your biggest pet peeve in a group environment while healing? 'heal me!!' 'Rezz PLZ!!' 'HEAL FFS!' Joo think i'm doing?! o.O Healers pay more attention to people's health than anyone else in the raid, if your not getting healed there's probably a good reason. People who dont run during wipes. People who don't bring their own food to raids and whine 'heal me' between fights or after whipes, while i'm eating & drinking what i remembered to bring. I also hate being called 'Priest' or 'healer' grrr.
Do you feel that your class/spec is well balanced with other healers for PvE healing? Yeah, definatly disc priests are pretty good to have around, what healer dosnt appreciate less damage to the raid?
What tools do you use to evaluate your own performance as a healer? Most obvious would be, if anyone i was looking after died, if it's a yes then i prolly didnt do so good >.> I do tend to look at meters after fights, see where i came in, i expect to have the lowest healing done anyway, but i can use that to see who's doing their job. What i pay atention to most is overheal, if it's high then i'm being slow, if it's very low then i havent been pulling my weight, a bit of overhealing is unavoidable. I also check dispells, i try do dispell a lot when i can :)
What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about your healing class? That we're only good on tanks, it's ridiculous, ANY healing is good on the group, and our shields are very usefull in lestening raid damage. I've also been ask why i'm healing as disc, the person thought it was only dps spec o.O People really do think we're not as good healers as Holy priests, it irritates me - yes our heals have less oomph, but we have less damage to heal.
What do you feel is the most difficult thing for new healers of your class to learn? Honesly i'm still a noob, i've learned a lot since i started healing with Cerin, and i've learned a lot since i became disc, i'm still learning. There's a lot of spells i still dont use regularly, working on it though :)
If someone were to try to evaluate your performance as a healer via recount, what sort of patterns would they see (i.e. lots of overhealing, low healing output, etc)? Low output (was not fun to see when i switched from Holy to Disc xD), low to medium overhealing - avoiding overheal is something i concentrated a lot on while learning to heal, so i'm pretty good with that, though it obviously depends on the actuall raid and situation, other healers, lot's of stuff - I'm also an obsessive dispeller, i love decursive :D I'm quite often the top dispeller in fights with Diseases and Magic to dispell, comes from PVP :)
Haste or Crit and why? Bit of both? Crit is still very usefull to me for Divine Aegis, so i'll most likely go for crit over haste, i'm not quite up to 30% holy crit so i'll keep at that for a while, i still find haste very nummy though ^^
What healing class do you feel you understand least? The ones that arent priests >.< I've only really played a priest healer, i'm attempting to get to know the other classes, kinda slow at it though :/
What add-ons or macros do you use, if any, to aid you in healing? Healbot, i love it, and it's had a lot of good updates recently, made me like it more :) Decursive for dispelling (1click beats healbot's atl-click ;) and it's displayed better for quick dispells), PoM Tracker. I use more, but they are the ones i 'need' to heal :)
Do you strive primarily for balance between your healing stats, or do you stack some much higher than others, and why?
I dont really stack anything, i dont really have the ability & freedom to do that in the occasional pug raid that i do, i just take what i can and make do :)
